Maths tutoring that starts where your child actually is.

Most maths trouble is a few missing links from earlier years. The first lesson finds them. Then a tutor who is strong in the exact course, from Year 7 through to Extension 2, builds forward from there, one week at a time.

Courses

Every NSW maths course from Year 7 to Extension 2.

Mathematics, Years 7–10

Years 7–10

Number, algebra, measurement, geometry, statistics and probability, built up in the order the NSW syllabus teaches them.

Mathematics Standard 2

Years 11–12

Financial maths, measurement, networks, statistics and the HSC exam technique that turns knowing into marks.

Mathematics Advanced

Years 11–12

Functions, calculus, trigonometry, probability and statistics, taught for understanding first and speed second.

Mathematics Extension 1

Years 11–12

Proof, vectors, further calculus, combinatorics and the harder problem-solving the Extension 1 paper demands.

Mathematics Extension 2

Year 12

Complex numbers, mechanics, integration and proof, with a tutor who has done the course at the level it is examined.

How a lesson runs

Understanding first, speed second, marks as the result.

Diagnose

A short diagnostic in the first lesson shows exactly which earlier skills are shaky. The plan is built on that, not on the year level.

Build

One concept at a time, in the order the syllabus needs it, with the school's textbook and notation. A worked example, then the student does it, then a harder one.

Prove it

Past-paper questions under time, marked the way a marker marks. A written note after every lesson tells you what was covered and what is next.

How it works

From one phone call to the right tutor, in days.

  1. 1

    Request a call

Leave your number, the year level and the subject. Lenin calls you back, usually within two hours, always within one business day, to hear what your child needs.

  2. 2

    We match a tutor

We hand-pick a tutor for the subject and the student: interviewed, ID-checked and WWCC-verified. Never a random name from a list.

  3. 3

    Meet, guaranteed

If the first lesson is not the right fit, we re-match you or refund that lesson. No awkward conversation.

  4. 4

    Keep the same tutor

You stay with the tutor who works. You get a short written note after every lesson, and we only change things when you ask.

Maths questions

Things parents ask us about maths.

My child is in Year 9 and has "always been bad at maths". Can this be fixed?

Usually, yes. Usually the problem is two or three missing links from earlier years (fractions, negative numbers, algebra basics) that make everything after them feel impossible. The first lesson finds those links. Fix them and the current work gets easier fast.

Which HSC maths course should my child do?

Standard 2 suits students who want a solid, practical maths mark without calculus. Advanced is the gateway to engineering, science, commerce and most STEM degrees. Extension 1 and 2 are for students who enjoy the subject and want the scaling. We will give you an honest read after the first couple of lessons.

Do you help with assessments and past papers?

Yes. In Years 11 and 12 the lessons follow the school's assessment calendar: concepts first, then past-paper practice under timed conditions, then a debrief on the exact marks lost and why.

Do you cover the new NSW syllabus?

Yes. Lessons follow the current NESA syllabuses for Stage 4, Stage 5 and Stage 6 and use the school's textbook and notation, so nothing is taught twice in two different ways.
