I started tutoring HSC English in 2021. Within six months I had eight students, a Google Calendar that didn't sync to anything important, an inbox of unread parent texts, and a Sunday-night spreadsheet that took four hours to maintain.
I tried every tutoring app I could find. They were either built for tuition centres with 200 students and 30 staff, or they were a calendar app pretending to be tutoring software. None of them were built for the actual hard part: the 9pm parent text, the rough notes that need to become a polite paragraph, the invoice that won't write itself.
So I built the thing I needed. Crestio is opinionated about what matters: log a session in 8 seconds, polish your notes the way a parent will read them, get paid by card without learning what Stripe is. Nothing else. No bloat. No upsells. No surprise fees on the parent.
If you tutor and you've ever spent a Sunday wishing the admin would do itself — this is for you. Email me directly: lenin@crestio.ai. I read every message.
Tutoring software is a graveyard of products built by people who never tutored. The tools that exist optimise for the tuition-centre owner with 50 staff, not the working tutor with eight students and a Sunday admin block.
I built Crestio because tutors deserve the same software craft that designers, developers, and writers get. Calm tools, sharp typography, fast keyboard shortcuts, real product care.
And because the work tutors do — paying attention to one kid, planning the next session, writing notes a parent will actually read — is worth doing well. The admin around it should never be the hard part.
No streaks, no badges, no notification bombs. The app is quiet so you can hear yourself think.
I don't sell to schools or chains. Every product decision asks: would a working tutor with eight students actually use this — or is it just busywork dressed up as a feature?
Parents see what you share, nothing more. AI never trains on your data. Tutors in a team can't see each other's rates.
I ship the changelog. I email customers when something changes. I tell you what's broken before you find it.
